After catching a retrospective exhibition by artist Yoo Young-kuk(\uc720\uc601\uad6d<\/em>) at the Seoul Museum of Art ( Why SeMA (Seoul Museum of Art) Should Be on Your Seoul Itinerary<\/a>)<\/strong><\/em>, I would typically spend my time wandering around Jeong-dong-gil(\uc815\ub3d9\uae38)<\/em>. But this time, I headed straight to Gwanghwamun(\uad11\ud654\ubb38)<\/em>. I had tickets for the 1:50 PM screening of the film\u00a0‘Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie’\u00a0at Cinecube<\/a> an independent cinema located right in the heart of Gwanghwamun<\/em>. With about an hour to kill before the movie, I didn\u2019t feel like having a full meal. I wanted to grab a light bite and a good cup of coffee, so I wandered into the alleyways behind Gyeonghuigung Palace (\uacbd\ud76c\uad81 \/ Naesu-dong)<\/em>. This neighborhood is one of my personal favorites\u2014and a place I highly recommend\u2014as it\u2019s home to a collection of “hidden gems”: Coffeest<\/a>, famous for its iconic Vienna coffee; CommonMansion<\/a>, which serves an incredible fish sandwich; and Emu Art Space<\/a>, another fantastic independent cinema.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
