It was a hot Sunday morning in the middle of summer. During the summer, several public swimming pools open throughout Seoul’s Hangang Parks, and in the middle of Yeouido Hangang Park, there is also Mulbit Square(물빛광장), a free shallow-water area where you can cool off.
It was so hot that day that I actually wanted to put my feet in the water. Since it was around 10 a.m. on a Sunday, rather than Saturday, it was surprisingly difficult to find many people in the park. Of course, the weather probably had something to do with it. I took advantage of the quiet morning, enjoying the view of the Han River(Hangang) as I slowly made my way to the cafe.

The main reason I chose this cafe as my destination was, of course, the Han River view. As far as I know, OUR Bakery opened here when this building was newly rebuilt. OUR Bakery is already a fairly well-known Korean bakery and cafe brand, so it actually felt quite familiar to me. I was also expecting the food to be good, since I already knew the brand.
I visited not long after it opened, and I happened to go on a day when there were very few people around the Han River. The timing worked out perfectly. There were plenty of empty seats, so I could sit comfortably, look out over the river, have some coffee and bread, and simply relax and chat.
Of course, sitting outside would be great when the weather is nice. But on extremely hot or cold days, cafes with a Han River view like this are surprisingly valuable. There are quite a few cafes located throughout the Hangang Parks, but personally, this was the one I found the most satisfying overall—whether it was the food, atmosphere, or view.
A Tip for Finding the Building
If you search for Yeouido Cruise Terminal(여의도유람선터미널) and head toward the floating building on the Han River, you will find not only OUR Bakery but also several other cafes, restaurants, convenience stores, and other businesses. There is also outdoor seating where you can eat and drink, so visiting in spring or autumn when the weather is pleasant could be a completely different experience.
+ Whether you visit Yeouido Hangang Park or another Hangang Park in Seoul, I think spending some time by the Han River is a must during a trip to Seoul.

The location is also close to Yeouinaru Station(여의나루역), and it takes about 10–15 minutes on foot to reach The Hyundai Seoul and IFC Mall. I also spent my morning at OUR Bakery eating bread before heading over to IFC Mall for lunch. Since you can easily combine a meal and some shopping with a relatively short walk, I think this can be a very efficient route for travelers as well.
